Part Two: Harry O', Las Vegas Soul Food Celebrity Chef

At the most recent meeting of our wine tasting group the host strongly recommended this wine. Only after I bought the bottle I realized that I tasted and reviewed a previous vintage of this same wine which I relished about two years ago. Things can change so I decided to review this wine instead of exchanging it for an unfamiliar wine. I'll be reviewing two unfamiliar wines next week. In the meantime let's see if this 2005 meets the promise of the 2003.

cooking brisket in slow cooker is a very tough cut of meat and boasts a large amount of fat. The salt and fat will have to be greatly decreased before you include crock pot corned beef in your healthy diet plan.

There is a misconception in the West that only people wearing loincloths with dreads who can contort themselves into pretzels and deprive themselves of creature comforts can meditate. While I've achieved some pretzel-like poses in yoga, I've never found the need to do the others for meditation. If you are called to, however, then run with it.

Uncover the pot, you lose enough heat to slow the cooking process thirty minutes or more. Because the slow cooking brisket doesn't allow steam to escape, the food inside retains all the moisture originally there. Ingredients should not dry out or burn, so there is no need to peek or stir your recipe .

However, this is not to say that the brisket should contain no fat. In fact, good quality meat is defined in part by the degree of marbling, the amount of intra-muscular fat in the meat. And with brisket there is also the question of exterior fat.

The other side dish was leeks sauted in olive oil. In response this wine mellowed and I got a burnt taste in the background. Then I doused the meat with Louisiana hot sauce. But the wine remained raw.

Any large leftover pieces, once cold, should be wrapped in saran wrap first and then foil. In a 300 degree oven it takes a whole piece about 3 hours to heat up, so that is about an hour for every 2 pounds or so, I think..

Mix the OJ, Cranberry, in a pitcher; place in the freezer if desired to get icy cold. Fill stemmed glasses half full with the wine. Pour enough of the fruit juice mixture into each glass to fill; stir.
